This on-demand course, focused on the way leaders can create profitable businesses with world-changing impact, includes over 8 hours of video content, hands-on activities, and an online community of other impact-focused leaders. This course is designed to take aspiring leaders from concept for a world-changing business to an actionable business model and is based key sessions GivingSpring’s CEO, Dora Lutz has presented to multiple accelerators across the country as well as in her course Business Planning for Social Entrepreneurs currently taught at Purdue University. As Lutz says, ”Entrepreneurship is a key to economic growth in local US economies and social entrepreneurs often serve as meaningful change agents. But to do this well, our leaders need to understand what new tools and methodologies are available. This course provides hands-on opportunity to understand and leverage those resources.”
Emil Ekiyor, CEO of InnoPower, an organization focused on leveraging entrepreneurship as a pathway to wealth generation, “We recognize that to scale the innovations and impact being built by underrepresented entrepreneurs, we need to deepen our ability to leverage profitable, financially sustainable business models and reduce the dependence on grant-making organizations. This partnership will speed the ability for minority communities to build profitable businesses that create positive, measurable impact.”
The program is available free of charge to any interested party through October 31, 2021 with a kickoff event to be held at the Nexus Impact Center in Indianapolis. Costs are being offset by GivingSpring and Purdue's Certificate for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and their generous grant support from the Burton D. Morgan Foundation aiming to enrichen entrepreneurial experiences through high-impact, real-world, activities and providing broader professional networks, more resources to advance their ventures, and enhanced career opportunities. Nathalie Duval-Couetil, Director of the Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program states, “We’re thrilled for this opportunity to share an emerging topic within aspiring business leaders, to support the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and to expand this knowledge to both youth and adult entrepreneurs.
